Understand the basics of Declaration Practice

Try a more deliberate round

Begin with the objective. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Aim for this result

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Check the relevant controls before continuing. Treat this as a chance to practise one rule.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

How your actions work

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Before making a move, check the cards in view.

Work through an example

Example hand: 2♣ J♠ 9♠ 9♥ 3♣ A♠ Q♠ Q♦ 6♣ J♣ 4♥ Q♣ 7♠. Wild rank 1. No full grouping meets the two-sequence and pure-sequence requirement. The penalty for this hand is 80 points. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

One detail worth checking

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Answers about the rules and controls

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Look at the complete hand before deciding. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Begin with the objective. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. Work at your own pace. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. Begin with the objective. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. Look at the complete hand before deciding. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Take a moment to read the table. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. Keep the active rule in mind. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Keep the active rule in mind. Check the relevant controls before continuing.
